Battle rap is coming back to Wolftown, with the battle that the whole city, and indeed the UK, has been dying to see – Wolverhampton legend and UK top tier battler Double L battling for the first time in his home city, going up against the legendary veteran from Liverpool, O’Shea, for a clash of mammoth proportions.

The first Clash Money Wolves event has been organised by Nottingham battle vet Youthoracle, and features a whole load of other major clashes. Leeds badman P-Solja takes on Birmingham’s Sykx, Don’t Flop legend Unanymous goes up against up-and-coming spitter CoJay, Notts legend Spitz Semis bumps heads with 360 Records artist Skrribzz, and Wolves’ own Baron Mynd comes out of retirement to go toe-to-toe with Runcorn joker Average Keith. Elsewhere, there will be flips and off-the-top wit galore as Birmingham’s Plain And Simple takes on Manchester’s Reelapse. Any aspiring MCs who want to jump into open mic sessions are welcome.

The show gets going at 4pm at the Yolo bar, which is situated behind the New Inn on Salop Street in Wolverhampton City. This is history in the making. Follow @clashmoneyUK on Twitter or search ‘Clash Money Wolves’ on Facebook to find out more.

MDotCook is a hip-hop artist from Baltimore City who speaks his mind through enriching music about his people. He is currently woking on his new tape titled Black August slated to drop later this year. More music can be found on his website at http://www.MDotCook.com – We Ready! is an uplifting song to go along with the Baltimore Uprising; music for the movement. I speak with the rhetoric of Malcolm X, “ballots or bullets,” in an attempt to point the people in the right way towards greatness.
